Windows 2003 Pre-authentication failed

There are series of audio failure in the logs of Windows Server. I am having a single Domain Controller. I checked the logs and see some entires which with id 675. The message was Pre-authentication failed: Failure Code: 0x19. The server looks to be working fine but I am bit suspicious about the error.

I will recommend you to run Active Directory diagnostic. I think there might be some issue with configuration. You can run the setup.exe from tools section to run diagnostic. It will offer you more detailed troubleshooting on the same. It is a kind of a failure error that you cannot ignore. It is a clear login failure code. The issue can be from users end as well from server ends depending on the issue.

I can provide you a bit explanation on the problem. The Event ID 675 reflects pre-authentication failed. Here when a user tries to use some different kind of user on the current workstations then the error appears. Also there is a IP address of the workstation from which the login has been done. Some user at your place is trying to use some others account to login or access the mapped drive. It is recommended that you must check the user id.
