Message while opening any application THE application failed to initialize properly(0XC0000142).Click on OK to terminate the application

Dear All,
I am in a big problem. After some times, my system stop responding to
the applications.
I got the message.
THE application failed to initialize properly(0XC0000142).Click on OK
to terminate the application
in nearly every application(still I found it in all .EXE files).
Apart from it, When I try to open a webpage, to load complete web page.
I have to refresh the page many times. I tried everything, I got only
one problem. iKernel.dll i.e. PROXY-OSS installed on my system.
Operating System: WINDOWS 2000 SERVER SP4.
Please help me out with this problem.
I also got the message "Application popup: Explorer.EXE - Application
Error : The instruction at "0x35f77d5a" referenced memory at
"0x000000e4". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program "

This reply is long after the post, but as this thread is still found in searches I reply. In my case - no installation - error message stops immediately. Firewall sees the install page as a pop up, also effects Win auto update. Disable firewall allows install. Doggus
