    msconfig -- Access Denied error

I have installed Windows XP SP-2 in my system recently, it was running Windows XP SP-1 previously. Anyways my problem is that when i am trying to use System Configuration Utility and select Diagnostic Startup or Selective Startup than i get below error message:
"An Access Denied error was returned while attempting to change a service. You may need to log on using as an Administrator account to make the specified changes."
I am the only admin of my system with all privileges and my system is not on any network but it is behind a router for the internet connection.
I want to know if there is anything i need to do for running msconfig.

RE: msconfig -- Access Denied error

I had faced same issue earlier but i was able to fix it by running MSCONFIG in safemode first and than running it in Normal mode. I don't know what difference it makes but as far as i can guess something gets reset after running MSCONFIG in safemode and after which it runs fine in normal mode as well.
Just give it a try to what Ive suggested and let me know if it works out for you, best of luck.
