| DEP blocking Generic Host Process for Win32 Services
Disable DEP does not solve. This damn window keeps poping out. Is this a bug or sounds like a virus? |

| RE: DEP blocking Generic Host Process for Win32 Services
It's a bug. I tried applying the hotfix MS supplies, WindowsXP-KB894391-x86-ENU, but it's only a temporary fix. Every time I have to restart my computer after an update, that same error message pops up again and I'm back to square one. I have an HP Officejet All-in-One, and HP has troubleshooting directions on its website for the DEP blocking generic host problem. I updated the Officejet software, and the software for all my programs and hardware, but that didn't help either. This must be a common problem, because the Windows XP Troubleshooter suggests visiting the software publisher's website to see if a DEP-compatible version of the program is available. So far, nothing I've tried works, and that includes the MS hotfix. I hope someone out there has a solution to this problem. It's maddening. "Melina" wrote: > Disable DEP does not solve.
