    PAV.exe Personal AntiVirus

Recently I was getting too many security pop ups telling me that my computer was infected. I was, however, able to find out the malware but was not able to get rid of it since it was not in the programs or anywhere else. When I checked in all programs then there I was getting an uninstall optopn for PAV but when I click to uninstall it then I get a message saying that "PAV stopped working". I also have antivirus installed on my computer but dont know how it got inside, can anyone tell me how to remove this thing?

You can try to delete the files using Disk Cleanup in your Windows operating system. If you want to reduce the number of unnecessary files on your hard disk to free up disk space and help your computer run faster, use Disk Cleanup. It removes temporary files, empties the Recycle Bin, and removes a variety of system files and other items that you no longer need. For more information go to this link - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...g-Disk-Cleanup

You can also download the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool and install it on your pc. Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool is a tool of protection designed to remove malware that infects your system. It starts doing a complete scan of your PC, then removes threats found and gives you the end result of a detailed report, including the malware that was detected and removed. The tool creates a log file named mrt.log in the %WINDIR%\ debug folder. It can remove all kinds of threats infecting your computer, such as: Blaster, Sasser, and Mydoom.

The kind of problem that you are facing might be occuring when deceptive software, such as spyware that is known as "grayware," is installed on your computer. This kind of software may come bundled with software that you want to install or may be included with downloaded web components. To resolve this problem, follow this link - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827315

Its easy to get rid of this PAV.exe Personal AntiVirus, just press ctrl + alt + delete and then open task manager, after that when it opens up then click on the Processes tab and then search from the list for pav.exe and then right click on it and end its process. After that go to My computer >> C: Drive >> Program Files and then look for a folder called PAV and delete it. And then go to the recycle bin and empty it. Now the Personal AntiVirus will be removed from your computer once and for all.
