| All services in Windows XP disabled device manager, and found all services disabled. I removed my drive and mounted it in another computer and scanned for virus. None found. I am not able to find any information on the problem with search engines or in new groups. Anyone have any ideas about what can cause this to happen? |

| Re: All services in Windows XP disabled
Strange, the same thing happened to my friend's laptop... just looking around for a fix or anything to work on, nothing much on the net though! Going to run a few things like HijackThis and a MalwareBytes scan now... I'll let you know how I get on... |

Bits and pieces found in HijackThis... removed them and then ran a Windows Repair... that finished and then a lot of services were started again... had to go through the list and enable/start some myself though... Here's a list of what's default on XP http://www.theeldergeek.com/services_guide.htm Good luck! JK |
