Idsvc be started and stopped recorded in Server log

I can find some entries in the application log of my system. I am using Windows Server. I had see that there are number of entries based on idsvc started and stopped. But I had not enabled any of those services. Can anyone tell me what it means exactly and what application of feature is associated with that.

It is Windows CardSpace service. You can check in Administrative Tools > Services and see on what mode it is configured. You can set the same to manual if you are not using it. It is a kind of identity selector. You can find information on the same on Microsoft site which all details related to its configuration.
