System Restore - How to save a restore point for a long time (XP Home Ed)

I have windows XP SP3 Home Edition installed in my system and i want to know if it is possible to save restore point for a long time, so that it doesn't gets overwritten by newer restore points. I don't know if that's possible or not but if it is, than let me know how? I have heard that there are some third party application that can help me out but i am not sure if there's actually one.

No you wont be able to save a restore point for a long time , its not a backup. Its just a copy of a small set of system
and user files. A restore point can only be used for restoring your system to a point when there were no issue and you wont be able to back it up. Instead you can take a back up of your system, save it in a drive and and use the same as your restore point when ever you want.
