no network connection and error: Faulting application , version 0.0.0.0, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00000000

I have a windows 2000 domain controller and about 100pcs working off
it. On some pc's in the morning when the come in there network
connections do not work. and i cant browse the network.
i look in the event viewer on the machines and i see

Faulting application , version 0.0.0.0, faulting module unknown,
version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00000000.

this is not much help at all. i have antivirus running on the machines
and this has happened with brand new machines as well, i get no blue
screens ever.
When i reboot the computer it works fine(until the next time it
happens).

All the computers are completely up to date with windows updates.

this is happening on Dell GX620's, HP D220 MT, dx2000 MT, HP Dc 5100
MT.

They all mostly have broadcom netxtreme 57xx gigabit nic cards.

It happens randomly and not everytime to the same computer

any ideas on what could be causing this would be great.
Please help, i am pulling my hairs out.

when you look in the event viewer:
- what log (app/system) ?
- what source of the event ?
- what event ID ?

- any other clue on what app or exe this might be ? messages on screen ?

when they login they get the "SEND, DONT SEND" error and they hit dont send.

the offending executable is svchost.exe, but that is a legit component of windows

it is a target for virus and malware programs, so I would like to advice to clean the machines with uptodate virus scanners and malware scanners

i have done that already and no avail.

Are there any services (in your services control panel) which are set to "Automatic" but which are not started ?
Also, are there any other errors in either system event log or application event log ?
