Services.exe consuming 100% CPU on Windows Server

I am having a single Windows 2000 server on the network. After performing Windows Update I noticed that Services.exe is using 100% cpu. I cannot find any application associated with the same. I had restarted my system and then verified the software in it. But still not able to locate details on the same. Is there any settings available in server which can help me to remove the applications associated with the same. I am trying to kill the process through Task Manager. But it re-launches on boot.

It can be a virus or some kind of malware in your system. There are some tools like Hijackthis. This tools are capable of scanning each and every service in your system and then generate a log file. You can verify the log file to locate the service and associated applications. In Windows Server, there is no process like Services.exe I think. Scan your system with antivirus in safe mode and then check back.
