Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 and Intel Core 2 Duo E5200 expected soon
The Core 2 Duo E8600, the latest processor architecture Penryn, is expected to leave soon. Announced for the third quarter of 2008, the CPU is clocked at 3.33 GHz. Either the highest rate ever achieved on the latest generation of Intel processors office, his immediate younger brother is clocked at 3.2 GHz. Like his brothers and family Wolfdale, it is engraved in 45nm, equipped with 6 MB cache second level (L2 cache), has an internal frequency (FSB) to 1,333 MHz and a theoretical TDP 65 W.
This processor, has a high potential side overclocking. The famous overclocker Taiwanese Coolaler was able to obtain a copy of the test. Mounted on a DFI motherboard with a chipset P35 and cooled with liquid nitrogen, the processor could run at the dizzying rate of 6 147 Mhz!
The other Core 2 Duo that is expected is the E5200. In contrast, E8600 in Penryn architecture, the entry model, also engraved in 45 nm, does about it only 2 MB of level 2 cache, a FSB of only 800 MHz and is clocked at 2.5 GHz. Coupled with an increase in the voltage of the processor and a slight increase in operating frequency of the FSB, the processor could climb to 4 GHz. No price or exact date has yet been officially announced for these processors.
