Hundred eleven million pixels, here the new record atteind by a sensor. This sensor CCC of four inches out of four (10 560 X 10.560 pixels), was developed then respectively manufactured by STA (Semiconductor Technology Associates) and Dalsa Semiconductor, two companies specialized in the semiconductors. They answered thus a ordering of the USNO (United States Naval Observatory). The American Navy will use this sensor for the astronomical observation, in particular to locate and measure the movements of stars and other objects of the solar system. One is far from the sensor of the apparatus of Mr Everyone, but the idea of thus being able “to approach” stars has what to make dream more one among us.
