Always looking for more users, YouTube has recently deployed a new highly anticipated tool: the direct creation of animated images in GIF format.

Google and YouTube multiply the features to keep the top spot of the platforms of the most popular online video. On the sidelines of the offline modes on Android or the arrival of a paid service based on music, YouTube now introduces the ability to create animated images in GIF file.

It is now possible to create animated GIF images and add their own captions directly from YouTube. But beware, at first, everyone there will be no law, and restrictions are in order.

The functionality is thus available only from the PBS Idea chain for now. It is possible to create an animated GIF of 6 seconds by selecting the video segment to capture. Then, boxes propose to integrate messages from some letters.

The process is simple, and once created, the GIF can be directly shared by Mail, IM, or integrated into a website via the embed code provided.

For now, YouTube refuses to discuss deployment on a larger scale. The platform could possibly offer this feature, however, with the most popular channels, or through a specific subscription.
