HP Slate 17 Desktop-Tablet hybrid with Android 4.4 Kitkat announced

The US giant Hewlett-Packard is reaching out to families who wish to have a versatile software solution. It unveils the Slate 17 which is a three-in-one device.

With its crutch in several positions, Slate 17 comes with 17.3-inch Full HD IPS panel along with touch 10 points, including its connectivity of HDMI 1.4/USB 2.0/Bluetooth 4.0 and battery with a battery life of about 8 hours, the HP Slate 17 can indeed serve as a computer desktop, large touchpad or a simple video screen for multimedia purpose.

As for the technical specifications, there is an Intel platform with 64-bit Intel Celeron, DDR3 RAM of 2GB and Intel HD GPU. As for the OS, it is Android 4.4.2 aka KitKat, which will also be stored in flash memory up to 32 GB of data.

The rest indicates a 720p webcam, audio system of Beats Audio and a memory card slot.

Count 449 euros for this HP Slate 17 device. Two finishes of Snow White and Sweet Yellow are planned.
