Samsung is expected to announce a new generation of Gear 3 smartwatch at the 2014 IFA in Berlin and the first alleged details begin to appear.

The 2013 IFA in Berlin was kicked off with the arrival of Samsung on the smartwatch segment connected with a product of Gear Galaxy which was quickly followed by a watch Gear 2, both under Tizen and yet an accessory Gear Live this time with Android Wear.

All this in less than a year, evidence of the intensity of the exploration phase of the Korean group in this new segment. A year later, Samsung is still on the front and is set to unveil a Gear 3 smartwatch.

Details are few but the watch could be offered as a bundle with the phablet Galaxy Note 4 which will also be presented during the event, unless other accessory steals the limelight. The website PocketNow claims to have received information about this Gear 3 smartwatch and indicates that its design could approach the bracelet of Gear Fit, with a rectangular display quite pronounced and much more curved than the accessory for tracking activity.

The screen would have thin borders and would use AMOLED technology. The Gear 3 smartwatch also follows the previous lines by opting for a Samsung Tizen environment that grows in accessories, failing to offer it in a smartphone.

As for features, PocketNow suggests that the watch could lose the camera sensor from previous versions but earn Autonomous making cellular modem, which was attributed to a hitherto model of Gear Solo which has still not been announced.
