For ThinkPad laptops, Lenovo recalls for lithium-ion batteries.

Lenovo rings for battery recall again. Incidentally, it may be a good plan to change all laptops battery in for free. It is to be done, however, upon the occurrence of incidents of overheating and possible damage to the machine, or via a fire hazard.

Lenovo merely states: "We were alerted to a small number of incidents as Public safety is our top priority, we felt a reminder was needed." Pending trade (regardless of warranty status), the Chinese manufacturer seeks to remove the battery and use the computer sector.
