The company Nec has just lifted the veil on a new monitor that is compatible with the Ultra HD 4K display standard.

The Japanese firm has unveiled its new purposed MultiSync LCD-EA244UHD-BK LCD monitor with which one can consider a definition of 3840 x 2160 pixels.

Built around an IPS panel type it offers a diagonal of 24 inches (61 centimeters), a static contrast ratio 1000:1, a brightness level of 350 candela per square meter and viewing angles of 178 degrees horizontally and vertically. The connection is made with DisplayPort (2 entries), HDMI (2 inputs, one for MHL-enabled smartphone) or DVI (2 entries as well).

It also offers an extra audio system capable of providing an RMS power of 2 x 1 Watt and a USB 3.0 hub with three ports for connecting USB key, external hard drive or digital camera.

Availability is set for 30 May at a price of $2900 most probably.
