It is now the turn of Zotac to adopt the Haswell platform. The specialist in mini-PCs has upgraded a lot in the new Zbox.

It is no surprise for the new Zotac Zbox to get the Intel Core 4th Generation processors. The Hong Kong manufacturer has once again extended its standard chassis, but certainly felt a bit dated, especially since Intel has launched the NUC range.

In addition to CPU performance, there is also progress in slightly and significantly lower idle consumption, these new Zbox mainly benefit much more powerful than the GPU. They allow you to play under honorable conditions for certain video games, connect four displays simultaneously (using two DisplayPort adapters) or to return to the Ultra HD (4K).

Zotac has three main models:
  • Zbox ID91: Intel Core i3-4130T (CPU 2.9 GHz dual core and GPU HD 4400), an HDMI output and a DVI-I output.
  • Zbox ID92: Intel Core i5-4570T (CPU dual core to 2.9 GHz with Turbo to 3.6 GHz GPU HD 4600), two DisplayPort outputs and one DVI-I output.
  • Zbox IQ01: Intel Core i7-4770T (CPU 2.5GHz quad core with Turbo 3.7 GHz and GPU HD 4600), same video outputs.

Each of these configurations is available with or without 4 GB RAM and 500 GB hard drive. User's can install the DDR3 SO-DIMM RAM and also a Serial ATA 2.5-inch of their choice.

In all cases, the connector includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports for high amperage, an SD memory card and input/output analog digital audio.

We are still waiting for the price and launch date of these six new Zotac Zbox (Plus and non-Plus). Anyway the warranty of this product was extended to five years.
