Apple has released iOS 7.0.3, an update on major maintenance adding new features and multiple patches.

On the sidelines of the special event in which Apple announced new iPad, new Mac and new software, Apple also released iOS 7.0.3 last night, a welcome update making many improvements.

iOS 7.0.3 brings a major innovation: the iCloud Keychain, iMessage fixes, a password manager (generation and synchronization), which avoids the hold, and hence to constantly use the same.

The new version also brings important fixes. Starting with the problem that prevents sending messages via iMessage, and the last one to bypass the lock screen. The calibration of the accelerometer, which was not level, has also been corrected.

Finally, the update restores the Web search and Wikipedia from Spotlight, and users can find simple animations for the interface. They can now disable the turbulent transitions changing applications and notifications appearances, in addition to the parallax effect, choosing "Reducing animations" in Settings> General> Accessibility. The device is more efficient while consuming less resources and energy. In the same vein, the message "Slide to unlock" no longer appears immediately on the iPhone 5s, they are fitted with Touch ID.

iOS 7.0.3 is a 98 MB download on iPhone 5s but it requires 1.7 GB of free space to install. It is available since yesterday and can be updated by going in Settings> General> Software Update.
