Nokia today launched two more Windows Phone 8 smartphones in India including Lumia 925 and Lumia 625 which were online for pre-order since a week. The new Lumia 625 is said to be the successor of Lumia 620 which have been successful Windows Phone 8 smartphone under budget. The new device features a 4.7-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection offering 800 x 480 pixels resolution at 201 ppi. Though it is not enough but very good as per the price.

Nokia has powered the device with 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8930 processor accompanied with 512MB of RAM making the device offer smooth and lag free performance. Running on Windows Phone 8 Lumia 625 comes with 5 Megapixel rear camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash allowing you to capture high quality image and Full HD video in 1080p. Not sure whether the device will receive Amber update soon but hopefully the Nokia Camera Pro App should work fine with this phone. There is also a 0.3 megapixel front facing camera for making video calls and conferencing.


As per storage Lumia 625 comes with built-in 8Gb storage with expandable memory slot upto 64GB. The phone also seems good in connectivity with support of 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS / aGPS,A-GPS+GLONASS and Bluetooth 4.0 LE. The device is running on 2000 mAH battery from which we can expect battery life upto 8 to 10 hours in usage mode. Lumia 625 is now available in retail as well as online at the price of Rs. 19,999/-
