Google has revealed ARM-based Samsung Chromebook and it is available for pre-order for $249. This new Chromebook has 11.6-inch, 1,366-by-768 display. It weighs 2.5 pounds and is 0.8 inches thin. It has a VGA camera, USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports and HDMI output. For connectivity it has built-in dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0. This Chromebook is predecessor of Samsung Chromebook running ARM Cortex A15 processor.


Samsung Chromebook 550 runs Intel Core processor and was released quite earlier for $549.99. It was quite expensive and that’s the reason this new Samsung Chromebook has made its mark. It is available for pre-order online via Amazon, Best Buy, PC World etc for $249 approximately.

Google is offering 100GB of Google Drive storage with $249 model running ARM Cortex A15 processor as well as $449 model running Intel Celeron CPU. Sources say that it has 16GB storage space which can be expanded up to 32GB via SD card and 2GB of RAM. It is said to boots in just 10 seconds and resume from sleep instantly. Currently Google is offering WiFi model of Samsung Chromebook only but 3G model are expected to be revealed soon.
