    Micromax enters home entertainment market

    Raking third in cheap Smartphone and Tablet market in India after Nokia and Samsung, Micromax has entered home entertainment market as well. They have recently introduced 6 LED TVs, 2 home theatre systems, 1 3D Blu Ray player and a Smart Stick Android dongle. Their LED TVs will range from 24-inch to 55-inch, their 50-inch LED TV will support 3D where as their 55-inch model will be full HD and will offer Smart TV feature for Internet browsing. Each and every LED TV will have USB port supporting plug-and-play capability as well


    Micromax is already known for its cheap and worthy products, so their LED TVs pricing will start from Rs 15,990 and will go up to Rs 1,29,990. They are planning to launch all their mentioned products across 170 cities in major states like Delhi, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Gujarat.

    Micromax's 3D Blu-Ray player will be sold for Rs. 6,490 and will support 2D and 3D video/audio formats.

    Micromax's has two models in their home theatre segment. HT037F1 will be priced at Rs 5,990 and HT089F1 will be priced at Rs 6,990 respectively.

    Micromax's Smart Stick Android dongle priced at Rs. 4,990 will allow their user to convert their TV into an Android TV. It will run on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and will be powered by 1GHz processor. Other than that it will feature HDMI interface, 4GB internal nand flash and Wi-Fi, it will also support devices pc components like keyboard, mouse, and game pad connections.


    Sources say that they Micromax is hoping to capture 10 percent of home entertainment market by 2014.

    Micromax is really doing great, they have just spent couple of years in Smartphone and Tablet market in India and have acquired 3rd position. Even though there are known leading companies like Samsung, Toshiba etc in home entertainment market i guess Micromax will be biggest rival for them with their cheap home entertainment products.
