We find that the specificity is known for Drobo's proprietary called "BeyondRAID", which makes the managing of the storage space within reach of anybody. It effectively allows the addition or replacement of hard drives of different capacities while maintaining fault tolerance, sometimes at the cost of a significant portion of unused capacity.
