Kaspersky Lab announces the end of months of the 2011 version of its antivirus software for Mac.
There are nearly a year, Kaspersky Lab launched the marketing of a destination antivirus Mac OS X. The Russian publisher continues its momentum with the release of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac.
The reason given by Kaspersky Lab is always the same: "the success of the Mac makes a target more tempting to cybercriminals." Users do not yet feel threatened, or the laboratories of the daily editor would detect "between 300 and 35 000 viruses that target Macs."
If this argument does not convince, Kaspersky said that his solution protects computers on a network against virus transmission PC. "Nobody wants to infect the computers of friends or colleagues, so it is vital for Mac users to be aware of these risks and have adequate antivirus to secure their own machine and its contents."
Among the new features and enhancements in Version 2011, Kaspersky Lab announces new methods of detecting malware signatures, a technology for cloud look suspicious files to a global threat, a counselor (URL Advisor) compatible with Web browsers.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac is destined for Mac OS X 10.5 and later, in 32 or 64-bit. The solution will be available in France from November 30, 2010 on the store's web Kaspersky Lab and at distributors.
