Google employees prohibited from Microsoft Windows

The search giant on the Internet since January would abandon the use of Windows in favor of Mac OS and Linux, considered safer.

A wind of revolution blow in Mountain View? The Financial Times reports that Google gradually removed Windows since its computer intrusion January permitted by a flaw in IE6 on Windows XP.

The paper is based on the statements of several employees. "The Windows PC with a lot of people have been replaced, mostly by Mac OS in response to piracy in China," says one of them.

The 10,000 Googlers have always had the choice of system on which they work (Windows, Mac OS or Linux). This information would therefore change the rules of the game and new employees can now only choose between a Mac or a PC with Linux.

Google does not abandon Windows

Windows will be nevertheless still available for the desktop but the choice must be motivated by a need to IT management software group. Employees today that are using Windows also soon have to change the system if the need does not exist.

The security argument relied also hide the use of homemade solutions. The introduction of the ban would cause Google to privilege its own tools to work internally rather than those developed by third parties.

To see what attitude they will adopt out of Chrome OS that could boost the use of technologies such as HTML5 internally and therefore their consumer services.

This information from the Financial Times (unconfirmed by Google) has been taken up enthusiastically by many sites, including pro-Apple does not seem to take into account the status of rumor, surprisingly.

Hats off Google for your reactivity! We can not even make them understand IE6 is obsolete. These morons do not know what to say "there must be application compatible IE6", it's corporate. I envy the Googlers who live in a world where it is possible to release an app if it is considered harmful.

windows have lot of flaws, even we know..bill gates recognizes flaws in IE in one speech..
