Microsoft has launched the MSDN RampUp track for Windows Mobile Application Development on MSDN.Ramp Up is a free, online, community-based learning program, with a number of different tracks that will help you build your portfolio of professional development skills. Ramp Up has a solid foundation of premium technical content from subject-matter gurus, and provides easy-to-access content in a variety of forms that guide you in learning the important skills.The initiative is focused on a variety of solutions and technologies, including ASP.NET, SharePoint, Visual Studio and even offers a track on developer basics.

The latest content to be added is designed to catalyze development of applications built on top of the Windows Mobile operating system.The Windows Mobile RampUp track consists of 7 modules, each of which takes you one step further to master Windows Mobile Application Development. These modules range from a basic introduction to Windows Mobile Application Development and a lesson on how to use the tools to Advanced Windows Mobile Forms Development. The 7 modules consists:-
  • Mobile Development Introduction
  • Device Emulators
  • Mobile Windows Forms Development
  • Advanced Mobile Windows Forms Development
  • SQL Server CE Introduction

In the final module, you will receive an overview of Windows Mobile Web development. You will learn how to identify on which device your application will run and what devices will support AJAX.On Ramp Up you can find a SharePoint for Developers track.SharePoint Services 3.0 takes full advantage of Microsoft ASP.NET and the Microsoft .NET runtime. The new features and added programmability support in MOSS provide a wealth of development opportunities. This course will immerse you in many of the developer-centric capabilities of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server.

In Ramp up module, you will learn about specific features of Device Emulator 2.0 and Device Emulator 3.0.
