The latest beta version of iTunes 8.2 appears to be a reference to blu-ray to contain. This is the first concrete indication that Apple in the foreseeable future on its resistance to the blu-ray license will go steps.

An observant user of the Mac Rumors forum has noticed that the beta version of iTunes 8.2 contains a reference to blu-ray. This is the help window to find the copyright notification of Gracenote - a subsidiary of Sony that track information in iTunes provides. The message probably means that the final release of the software blu-ray discs can be played.

The reference may also mean that Apple are desk-and laptops from blu-ray drives is provided. They have so far been absent, although since the beginning of last year are expected. Apple has the size but so far rejected: Steve Jobs identified in the past as a "bag of hurt." This meaning that it was the consumer, but for Apple itself. It is said that the company approximately $ 30 per Mac computer lost his license. Apple said in the autumn, first wanting to be seen whether blu-ray it will be popular among consumers.

Both conditions may be reality: early this year said the Blu-ray Disc Association that the license fees' attractive 'would make. In addition, this year the first Chinese players in the hundreds of dollars expected.

Re: Apple stops blu-ray in iTunes beta 8.2

Keep in mind that iTunes on the PC is running and that there are Blu-ray available for it. If this is not strange. What is strange is that this is not in this listing was processed. And that Apple is supporting Blu-ray is a no-Brainer. They would cut himself in the fingers as they would not do.

Blu Ray are on the market and that Apple was among the society that supports this format. Anyway, it was the habit now, as soon as Apple would change something in this revolutionary computer world.
