NVIDIA preparing to launch graphics card GeForce GTX 285 for Apple Mac Pro

NVIDIA is developing its own high-end Mac Pro graphics cards, Mac version of the GeForce GTX 285. The company has not yet disclosed the details of the graphics. According to the news Web site, the EVGA graphics cards will be responsible for the manufacture, use two dual-link DVI interface to replace the Mini DisplayPort.

Performance of the GTX 285 version and PC versions will be similar, with 240 stream processor units, standard 1GB GDDR3 graphics memory. NVIDIA also released before the Mac version of the Quadro FX 4800, with 1.5GB of video memory, 192 stream processing units. These two products are the use of NVIDIA's CUDA technology, and support will appear in the Mac OS X Snow Leopard's OpenCL standard.

The current PC version of the GTX 285 retails for 400 U.S. dollars, the Mac version of GTX 285 has not yet been informed of the price information, the card will be released in June this year.

its great experience with Quadro FX 4800 is awesome for me i know 285 is best so i think now apple is aware about more graphics user so going with variation.......
