Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today announced the integration of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 with the entire line of Fujitsu scanners, ranging from workgroup to production-level with the KnowledgeLake Connect technology. The enterprise content management (ECM) software by KnowledgeLake allows any desktop connected to a Fujitsu scanner to tightly integrate with Office SharePoint Server 2007, unlocking the value of existing infrastructure investments and creating a more efficient work environment.

Office SharePoint Server 2007 is a reliable, scalable, easy-to-deploy and manage platform for developing customized business solutions, including solutions in collaboration, portal, search, ECM and business intelligence. With the Office SharePoint Server 2007 platform, you can more easily tie together disconnected islands of data, integrate technology with business processes, target and personalize information for groups and individual users, creating a more productive and effective work environment. The strategic partnership between KnowledgeLake and Fujitsu allows users to make the most of their Office SharePoint Server 2007 investment with an integrated, configurable suite of software that taps into the increased power of an ECM solution. In addition, KnowledgeLake has a unique capture technology specific to Office SharePoint Server 2007 and, when coupled with Fujitsu scanners, brings a great opportunity to users looking to initiate an ECM solution.

“KnowledgeLake Connect is a software application that enables users to scan documents directly into the SharePoint document repository utilizing a familiar interface which mirrors that of the Office SharePoint Server 2007 system,” said Ron Cameron, president, KnowledgeLake. “The integration of Connect with the entire line of Fujitsu scanners unites intelligent imaging software with world-class scanning devices and maximizes the market opportunity for the Office SharePoint Server 2007 platform. We're thrilled to offer this option to Fujitsu document imaging customers across the board.”

“Fujitsu is proud to be one of the only document management vendors offering Office SharePoint Server 2007 integration across its entire range of products, straight out of the box," said Doug Rudolph, vice president, product management and business development, imaging products group, Fujitsu Computer Products of American, Inc. "Fujitsu has made a significant investment in enhancing the functionality of its scanner products to enable the wider Office SharePoint Server 2007 user community to benefit from fast, efficient and reliable document scanning, and through this anticipates an opportunity to expand the market for enterprise content management.”

“Adoption of Office SharePoint Server 2007 as a competitive ECM platform demonstrates Fujitsu’s confidence in the continued growth of SharePoint technologies,” said Tom Rizzo, director, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server Group. “In addition, this new integration provides customers with yet another way to get a complete Office SharePoint Server-based solution for their organization.”
