Adobe publishes results in line with expectations

Adobe, developer of software for creating the range of Creative Suite, is resistant to the slowdown in the economy, in which the field of creation is a particularly sensitive (field of advertising in particular), by presenting results in line with expectations. Its action has also increased outside meeting following the publication of the results of 2008 yesterday evening, climbing to 24.71 dollars after closing at 22.32 dollars.

The company recorded income records on the performance of the year 2008, ended Nov. 28, up 13% according to plan, amounted to 3580 billion, compared to 3158 billion dollars this year 2007. Consolidated net income amounted to 871.8 million in 2008 against 723.8 million in 2007, earnings per share of 1.59 dollars.

Shantanu Narayen, president and CEO of Adobe, welcomed the results and to this record, adding they are "confident to emerge even stronger from the current recession", without specifying how they would achieve neither predict new software, while Creative Suite 4 out recently is still good times ahead. The company expects to earn 800 to $ 850 million in first quarter 2009.
