Vista Install, Activation, Product Key

I did a fresh install of Windows Vista on for testing it on one of my computers a week ago using the Anytime Upgrade DVD but dint enter the product key and also now I don’t have the original case as well. So I don’t have the original product key as well. But now, as I liked the OS, I am trying to buy the license for the same but it seems like to be dependent on a product key and I don’t have the same.

Let me confirm again that I don’t want to cheat anyone neither I want to use pirated OS. I’m willing to pay for the license but the independent product key is creating the problem. I don’t know why is it so difficult. I really don’t want to uninstall this and re-install again from a new DVD with product key.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

The disk (Anytime Upgrade disc) you used to install the OS don’t come with its product key and if you have did a clean install using this then you wont be able to use. You simply need to buy a full retail version license of vista edition. Also you will need to buy the product key depending on the Edition you using for Vista.
