Can't boot XP after installing Vista

I had Windows Vista preinstalled in my computer and didnt have the DVD setup disk. I have also recovered the system when disabled by hard disk. After that I installed Windows XP on E: drive and now Vista is not bootable at all. So, I reinstalled Vista by using the hard drive recovery on C: drive and it got installed properly but after that the XP boot file got missing. So I used bootsect.exe to set Vista and XP dual boot but in XP boot selected, the tip gives "\ntldr" issue. Even if I use Vista Boot Pro, I am getting the same "\ntldr" problem. Can anyone tell me how to install the XP OS? Thanks.

You can try to use bootcfg to create the boot.ini and then copy the ntldr and ntdetect from the Windows XP CD to C: drive. The bootcfg command is a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 utility that modifies the Boot.ini file. You can use the bootcfg command to add additional Boot.ini file parameters to existing or new entries. There is a simple way to recover the dual boot. If you have installed Vista on C: drive by auto formatting and installed it on the same drive and then you have installed XP on different partition but if XP is not booting then simply copy the ntldr, boot.ini, NTDETECT.COM file to boot driver that is C: drive:
    excute (Drive:\Windows\system32\)
    Bcdedit /set {ntldr} device partition=c:
    Bcdedit /set {ntldr} path \ntldr
    Bcdedit /displayorder {ntldr} /addlast (or addfirst)
