| Missing volume control in Notification area ***
The Volume control is now missing in the lower right notification area (Vista Business). I can get sound fine (just cannot control volume). Control panel->Sound shows speakers fine. But Taskbar & Start Menu Properties->Notification Area do not have the Volume box highlighted to select it. Was all working fine a while back! Any suggestions anybody? |

This may help you out. It will show you how to have the Volume icon not be grayed out any more. Opp's ignore that last posting. Just realized I also have to go to the Taskbar & Start Menu in the control panel to re-activate them. All is fine now. |
