Windows Vista 32bit fails to recognize 4GB RAM

I need some help to find what is the issue with my system. I am using Vista. I had added two rams of 2GB each. But when I check I can find that Vista can only show me some 2.93GB of RAM. It is not showing the complete 4GB. It is quiet irritating and I need help on it. I think Vista is not at all utilizing all the ram sticks and that is the result of slow computer. The same issue lies in BIOS. The ram sticks are new and they are still under warranty. There is no hardware failure.

It is because your motherboard does not support that much of RAM. This is a limitation of a 32bit system. You can only get that much amount of ram on a 64bit system. There is nothing you can do. A 64bit system can offer you to use ram higher than 4GB. But for that you will need to purchased a 64bit processor also. If there are two ram sticks with you, keep one for future usage. If one fails you can hook it back and throw the other one.
