    Windows Vista Regsvr32 error 0x80004005

I am getting a serious error on Windows Vista. It is related to some Windows Registry. There error displays some blah.ocx module failed. The code is 0x80004005. I am not sure about this thing. I removed my old antivirus and added a trail version of Norton and got this error. Does it is related to the new antivirus. How to find more detail on the same. Thanks.

It looks some issue with the registry. Some recent modification has caused this. It is recommended that you must run system restore. Or simply check in administration account that you are getting this error or not. There can be some application which is not getting valid registry permission and so you get the error on your screen. You can check in Event Viewer for detail on the error.

This problem may occur if a file that the Windows Product Activation (WPA) requires is damaged or missing. This behavior occurs if one or both of the following conditions are true:
    • A third-party backup utility or an antivirus program interferes with the installation of Windows XP.
    • A file that WPA requires is manually modified

You can try this Error code 0x80004005 in windows vista
