Desktop Window Manager has stopped working on Windows Vista

I am getting some problem with Windows Vista. The desktop manager fails to work. The system gives a error on the screen saying that dwm.exe fails to work. I cannot figure out the issue behind it. I need some help to deal with problem. It happens frequently after a set of time interval.

DWM is crashing due to outdated or unstable display driver. It is recommended that you must update the latest driver. Go in Task Manager and see the cpu usage. If after running dwm it goes to 100% then there is a virus in your computer. To solve the issue it is recommended that you must disable some startup process and put your system back on classic theme.

I also had issues with Aero on Vista and mulitple monitors. I downloaded and installed the latest drivers from Nvidia and now everything works. The driver on the xfx website was an older version.
