outlook 2007; unable to open your default e-mail folders

I have installed office 2007 on Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bits, build 5600.
Launching outlook 20007 the program starts to open, after some seconds
however un eror message aooairs; "cannot open your default e-mail folders".
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall office 2007 again but with no avail.
The error message is still there.
What is happening and how to solve this problem?

Have you configured an e-mail account yet? If not then you could try going
through Control Panel \ User Accounts and Family Safety \ Mail \ E-mail
Accounts and create a new account there.

If you have configured an e-mail account and the problem is still there you
might want to go to the Control Panel \ User Accounts and Family Safety \
Mail \ Show Profiles \ and remove the current profile and create a new one
with a new name.

I have the identical problem on my Sony VAIO that is "Vista Ready" but
still using XP.

The dll's for the Outlook Add-In might be corupt. Can you remove them, and reinstall on his computer?

You could also try a "resetEVClient.exe" from C:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault\EVClient on his workstation or can get some solution from post made here. Unable to open emails in Outlook 2007
