no audio output device installed

I just loaded Vista RC1 and i have two problems for sure. One is that vista
does not recognize any sounddevice on my notebook. The other is the printers
attached to my wierless network and shared files arn't listed. I'm not having
any luck with the reporting tool?

None of the Vista beta's have supported my onboard sound driver after
install. I had to use my motherboard disc -> navigate to the sound driver
folder & install driver this way otherwise I had no sound although Vista
thought everything was working.

If you have a driver disc with your laptop this may be the only way to get
sound support although not as good as the sound controls with XP. The sound
driver is the one I have to do each time I install there has never been a fix
for mine :(
