| Blue Screen Error " STOP: 0x0000007B "
I have Vista 64BIt. I partitioned and created a new partition to do a dual boot. To install a XP Pro 64bit. The new partition was set active, and once I removed the drive letter, still when I install XP Pro 64Bit, it runs and after installing the default windows installation drivers, it gives me the Blue Screen with error: *STOP: 0x0000007B* I have fully scanned for virus. Would it be a boot sector virus, if so what would be the best method to remove the virus? Bye goal is to create a dual-boot system with Vista and XP. Thank in advance. |

Use disk manager to create the free space, but do *not* use Vista's disk manager to create the installation volume or format it. Instead, allow XP setup to do this as XP will not install to a volume created by Vista (though it can read one just fine once installed). XP setup needs to create the installation volume (and you may need an appropriate sata driver on floppy to support the drive during this stage of setup). |
