| Vista x64 install SATA/AHCI signed driver problem Hi guys, I'm having problems trying to install Vista x64 Ultimate on my G33 Express machine, which utilizes the ICH9 controller for the SATA/AHCI capabilities. I've got a single WD Raptor 74GB connected to port 1, and am trying to install Vista x64 in either SATA or AHCI modes. Scenario 1: SATA x64 When I attempt to install x64, it will notify me that no drives are found. I opt to load drivers, and try to provide Intel's Matrix Storage Manager v8.7.0.1007 files, v7.8, or even the x64-floppy, but they don't seem to provide SATA drivers for x64. Scenario 2: AHCI x64 When I try to set BIOS to AHCI mode instead and restart the Vista install process, this time I'm confronted by a message that indicates that unsigned drivers are not supported in x64 and kicks me out. Scenario 3: SATA x32 When I try x32 install instead, Vista still doesn't find any compatible Intel drivers, and no drives are found. Scenario 4: AHCI x32 Vista will accept the SATA driver provided by Intel, but still no drives are found. The Raptor does not have any problems being detected in BIOS. Starting to run out of ideas...any help would be appreciated, thanks! li Arc -- li Arc |
