| Re: Vista Sysprep Fatal Erro
Thanks for responding. On the particular fix below, i applied the KB, put my unattend file in the c:\windows\system32\sysprep folder. Everytime i attempted to run the cmd (at elevated permissions) of: C:\windows\system32\sysprep\sysprep.exe /oobe /generalize /unattend:C:\windows\system32\sysprep\unattend.xml /shutdown The sysprep crapped out indicating it could not locate or parse the file. Ok...so i attempt to just run c:\windows\system32\sysprep\sysprep.exe /oobe /generalize /shutdown here are the error logs i get now with only the "failing portion at the bottom due to the length of it: 2009-02-25 10:08:34, Info [0x0f004d] SYSPRP The time is now 2009-02-25 10:08:34 2009-02-25 10:11:57, Info SYSPRP nlmsprep.dll: Generalize start 2009-02-25 10:11:57, Info SYSPRP nlmsprep.dll: Generalize finish 2009-02-25 10:11:57, Info [0x0f0081] SYSPRP LaunchDll:Successfully executed 'C:\Windows\System32\nlmsprep.dll,NetworkListManager_Generalize' without error 2009-02-25 10:11:57, Info [0x0f008b] SYSPRP RunRegistryDlls:Found entrypoint in registry at SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\SysPrep\Generalize\{522ea8c1-0123-0933-1b30-cf21359228e2}; will try to launch 'spwmp.dll,Sysprep_Generalize_WMP' 2009-02-25 10:11:57, Info [0x0f0080] SYSPRP LaunchDll:Found 'spwmp.dll,Sysprep_Generalize_WMP'; executing it 2009-02-25 10:11:57, Info [0x0f0081] SYSPRP LaunchDll:Successfully executed 'spwmp.dll,Sysprep_Generalize_WMP' without error 2009-02-25 10:11:57, Info [0x0f008b] SYSPRP RunRegistryDlls:Found entrypoint in registry at SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\SysPrep\Generalize\{9f9ae2ac-5eac-060a-c3b8-8689a568f16e}; will try to launch 'C:\Windows\System32\AuxiliaryDisplayClassInstaller.dll,WindowsSideShow_Sysprep_Generalize' 2009-02-25 10:11:57, Info [0x0f0080] SYSPRP LaunchDll:Found 'C:\Windows\System32\AuxiliaryDisplayClassInstaller.dll,WindowsSideShow_Sysprep_Generalize'; executing it 2009-02-25 10:11:57, Error SYSPRP WindowsSideShow: Failed to get task folder (0x80070003) 2009-02-25 10:11:57, Error [0x0f0082] SYSPRP LaunchDll:Failure occurred while executing 'C:\Windows\System32\AuxiliaryDisplayClassInstaller.dll,WindowsSideShow_Sysprep_Generalize', returned error code 31 2009-02-25 10:11:57, Error [0x0f0070] SYSPRP RunExternalDlls:An error occurred while running registry sysprep DLLs, halting sysprep execution. dwRet = 31 2009-02-25 10:11:57, Error [0x0f00a8] SYSPRP WinMain:Hit failure while processing sysprep generalize providers; hr = 0x8007001f 2009-02-25 10:12:17, Info [0x0f004c] SYSPRP WaitThread:Exiting spawned waiting thread 2009-02-25 10:12:17, Info [0x0f0057] SYSPRP ScreenSaver:Screen saver was originally enabled, successfully re-enabled it 2009-02-25 10:12:17, Info [0x0f0052] SYSPRP Shutting down SysPrep log 2009-02-25 10:12:17, Info [0x0f004d] SYSPRP The time is now 2009-02-25 10:12:17 Quite lengthy....any other suggestions? |
