    Format USB drive as FAT32

This is HP laptop running with Windows Vista Home Basic. I have few USB Flash drives that I need to format in FAT32 file system. But when I try formatting them on this computer, the only option I get is for NTFS, and no FAT32.

Any idea why? There use to be both options on Win XP.

As far as I know about Vista, it wont allow you to format you any partition above 32GB in size and that is the reason why Vista don’t have option to format in Fat32. Yeah, that is the OS restriction. So, if your Flash Drives that you are trying to format is above 32GB than you will need to download any third party tool for the same. The one I know and can suggest you is GParted livecd. It is the best so far I have ever used for the same.
