Maybe you can find something here that will help:

If Outlook fails to successfully compose a valid email (no recipient
address), it's probably using a corrupt Profile file (Outlook.PST) Your
options will let you archive that profile, and build a new one. If the new
one still fails you can go back to the old one, and open the "Programs and
features" app in control panel. This should show you a Repair feature for
    the Office Suite.

Re: Can RECEIVE but can't SEND 0x80070057

I had the same problem with the same error message:

Task 'pop - Sending' reported error (0x80070057) : 'Could not complete
the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid.'

I did the usual google searches and found some reference to the address
book being corrupt. So I then sent a test message to an account which
was NOT already in my address book. This worked fine.

So rather than delete my whole address book I just deleted the
Auto-Complete Email Address Cache in Outlook - details here:
'Clear the Auto-Complete Email Address Cache in Outlook :: the How-To
    Geek' (http://tinyurl.com/2z2hpz)

    or
    - Open up windows explorer, and paste the following into the address
    bar:
    - %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Outlook
    - Delete the Outlook.NK2 file that you find in this folder.
This has now cleared the problem. BTW you'll need to delete any unsent
emails in your outbox with corrupt addresses.

Thanks for the information, but no one knows to whom you are giving this
information since you are not posting on a real forum as you think you are
and you didn't quote any of the thread to which you are replying. You are
using a web interface that leeches Usenet posts and most of the rest of us
are using real newsreaders. We don't see what you do. If you want to
participate in Usenet, the better way is to set up a newsreader. This is
very easy to do and I'll give you information about that below. If you
prefer to use a forum, then here are two excellent ones:
