word could not create the work file. check temp

Hi, i am facing some annoying problem with my Windows Vista system running with Office 2007 professional. Whenever i try to work with MS Word, it gives me an error message saying:

"Word could not create the work file. Please check the temp."

This happens only with word, rest of office apps like Excel, PPT, etc are working fine. Can any one tell me what could be the reason behind that and how can i fix it? Many thanks.

Increase the MAX TEMP Variable. Make sure the TEMP and TMP folders exists. Follow these steps:

• Right-click on My Computer and select Properties.
• Select the Advanced tab.
• Select the Environment Variables button.
• Check the location of TEMP & TMP (usually c:\temp, or c:\windows\temp )
• Make sure the setting exists, first of all, then check that there is such a location on your hard drive. Check these folders and delete the temp files.
