| Missing drives (harddrive, cdrom and maaped network drives)
Hi I installed vista now that the service pack came on msdn. The system it self runs ok, but one day i start my laptop and i just setup a home server and mapped a network drive. I wanted to access that drive and went to the "Computer" icon on my desktop. Now heres the fun part: No harddrive or cdrom drive or mapped network drive. I can only see the "Other" bar that contain my messenger shared folder icon and a internet backup drive icon. I have absolute now idea why this happened. I didnt install any hardware or software ass i recall and i have spent hours googling and look at settings in Vista and are beginning to pull my hair out. If a reboot in safemode the harddrive and cdrom drive is there. And i guess if a create a new profile i guess its there, so its my user that needs a fix. I am lasy and having a domain user, so i dont want to backup, delete and create new profile and restore. Please advice. Thanks Martin. |
