Cannot send email by Windows Live Mail

I can't send emails, but can receive all right. What could be the problem,
please?

Which AV are you using? A number of AVs and FW's have a setting that scans
email and interferes with sending or receiving that can be turned off by
drilling the settings. Norton often does this.

McAfee for AV. But if I turn that off wouldn't that be destroying the purpose
of having the AV in the first place?

Not sure about what FW I have.

i tried to sent a very important letter i went to click send it froze and closed whats wrong with microsofts isssue after issue i need that email its vanished

I also have this problem. I can set up email accounts other than hotmail and recieve just fine... but then I cannot send from them.

in my case i use Avast antivirus, how can i solve this issue?

Well, can you try to disable the antivirus that you have for a few minutes and then try to send mails. Sometimes AV scanners break and time out outgoing email connections. Don't forget to turn on your anti-virus back on after the test. If it is the antivirus you can try increasing your smtp scanning timeouts, reinstalling that antivirus program.
