| Explorer toolbar
In previous incarnations of Windows it was very handy to be able to customise the tool bar of Windows Explorer so I could add a 'copy to', 'move to' and 'delete' button. I must be cracking up because I can't figure out how I can do this with Vista Premium, can anyone enlighten me please? -- Ron O'Brien |

Thats just the default behaviour unfortunately, it cannot be edited. If you would like to create your own, you might want to take a look at the following link: http://shellrevealed.com/blogs/shell...ule-Items.aspx -- Andre Blog: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com My Vista Quickstart Guide: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com/blog...3DB!9709.entry "Ron O'Brien" <castcall@ntlworld.com> wrote in message news:Er5jj.29535$ov2.9383@newsfe5-win.ntli.net... > In previous incarnations of Windows it was very handy to be able to > customise the tool bar of Windows Explorer so I could add a 'copy to', > 'move to' and 'delete' button. > > I must be cracking up because I can't figure out how I can do this with > Vista Premium, can anyone enlighten me please? > > -- > Ron O'Brien > |

You cannot customize Vista's Explorer toolbar. Under Organize>Layout you can add the "Menu" bar, but that's it. -Michael |

You can add "Copy To Folder" and "Move To Folder" to the right-click Windows Explorer context menu. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2704,1813983,00.asp "Ron O'Brien" <castcall@ntlworld.com> wrote in message news:Er5jj.29535$ov2.9383@newsfe5-win.ntli.net...

You can customize these Explorer replacements and they are just better. These options are not free, but are really worth the investment. They copy/move/delete stuff faster, too. Many more useful options. Just better! I use Directory Opus 9.1 and absolutely love it. The other two are great Explorer replacements, too. http://www.gpsoft.com.au/ Directory Opus 9.1 http://www.ghisler.com/ Total Commander http://www.zabkat.com/index.htm xplorer˛ -Michael |
