    How to change keyboard shortcuts?

On keyboards with a Start key (Windows logo), I can press Start-E to get
Windows Explorer. Does anyone know how I can change this shortcut assignment
so that I can use, let's say, Start-P for that purpose?

More generally, is there a way of changing any of these built-in Windows
    shortcuts?

Can this be done by editing something in the Registry?

    Thanks.

    David

You might want to take a look at the following freeware application.

    AutoHotkey:

Thanks, Ronnie. Your suggestion reminded me that I have the similar Macro
Express installed, and it does the job, though the response time is a little
slower than the native Windows shortcut.

I'd still be interested in finding out if there was any way of patching the
Windows shortcut rather than going through a third-party macro program.
