    Windows Vista won't load

    I re-started my Dell Inspiron PC w/ Windows Vista last night and it would not completely re-boot. It stops at the following:

    --------------------------------------------------------

    F2 = Set up
    F12 = Boot menu

    DELL
    Bios revision 1.0.13

    --------------------------------------------------------
    I've unplugged it from ac outlet for more than an hour. It won't go into safe mode (F8). If I press the F2 key it gives me 'entering set-up" or if I press the F12 key it gives me 'loading boot menu' displayed at the bottom left corner of the screen. That's it, it won't take it further through the boot.

    Any and all suggestions would be great.

    Thanks,
    rkreveg

    Re: Windows Vista won't load

    It seems to me that the error that you are getting is caused by Windows detecting an error with the operating system. Can you boot from the cd while the old hard drive is in? Sounds like Windows just needs to be reinstalled on the old drive if the drive is still physically healthy. Hope that helps you out.
