Windows Movie Maker ~ Preview screen black

Help.
I created a project and burned a dvd just fine. The next day I opened the
project to burn a second dvd and the preview screen is black no matter what
video clip I try to play. I even tried importing a sample video that came
with my computer and that previews black too. Anyone know what I can do??

Re: Windows Movie Maker ~ Preview screen black

It was working fine for the several days I was using it. When I checked for
updates from microsoft, it did not say I needed video card driver updates.
Could I still need to do it? If so how?

Re: Windows Movie Maker ~ Preview screen black

It doesn't necessarily have to say you need it. I recommend you go to the
manufacturers website, whether it be nVidia or ATI and download the latest
driver for your graphics card.

Re: Windows Movie Maker ~ Preview screen black

I'm thinking that's not it because movies, video clips, etc play just fine in
the Media Center and windows media player

I prefer Windows Movie Maker and i like that you can also save your movie back to the video tape in your camera to play back on a TV or on the camera itself.
